Echo Spot – Amazon's smart alarm clock
Amazon unleashed a torrent of new smart health connected and smart devices yesterday. One of the new devices presented is the Echo Spot.
Echo Spot is a bit of an Echo Dot and an Echo Show. To put it simply, Echo Spot is a smart alarm clock incorporating Alexa. Equipped with an enclosure, this small half-sphere device offers a clean 2.5-inch display on the front.
But according to Amazon, its smart health connected alarm clock is much more than a smart health connected alarm clock. Indeed, just like its big brother, the Echo Show, the Echo Spot is also able to make ehealth calls. Obviously, no YouTube on the horizon given the current conflict between Google and Amazon. Although it has a built-in speaker, it can also connect via Bluetooth or Wifi to your conventional smart health connected speaker.
For now, the little Echo Spot is available for pre-order in the United States for $ 129.99. The first deliveries should take place next December. The UK and Germany will be able to order it early next year. Although its price doesn't really match that of the Dot, it is certainly much more affordable than the Echo Show which costs $ 229.99.
As I said in the introduction, Amazon has presented a multitude of other products. Amazon notably presented its new Echo. Priced at $ 99, the new Echo is smaller and its case is now covered with a gray fabric covering. You will be able to buy cases of other colors if you wish. Amazon will also offer three packs for $ 249 to use the product’s multi-room features.
Amazon also introduced the Echo Plus, a device compatible with one hundred smart devices that dispenses with Alexa skills or apps. These 100 peripherals are products dedicated to the world of the health home such as Philips Hue bulbs.
