Eliot by Legrand will use the Nest Weave protocol

Eliot by Legrand will use the Nest Weave communication protocol. The company has just announced its collaboration with Nest Labs Inc. to use the protocol I recently mentioned.

As a reminder, Eliot by Legrand is a program launched in 2015 to accelerate the deployment of the company's offer in the Internet of Things. Legrand wishes to develop connectable solutions in 40 product families.

I'm pretty happy that Great chose Nest Weave for its health home automation products. This strategy corresponds to the will of the company to promote “open languages”, capable of integrating and communicating with as many third-party systems as possible, offering the user many additional benefits and uses while leaving them the choice and freedom to equip yourself at your own pace, in a progressive and unanticipated manner.

FYI, Legrand is also a member of the AllSeen Alliance. This international consortium wishes to promote products and systems that use AllJoyn technology. Legrand is also a member of the ZigBee Alliance. As a reminder, ZigBee is the international wireless, open and global standard for the Internet of Things.

The least we can say is that this agreement with Legrand is a great catch for the Google subsidiary. It should allow it to significantly speed up the adoption of this communication protocol.
