Elon Musk wants to cure illnesses thanks to a brain implant containing an AI

Elon Musk would like to create a brain implant to make direct communication between the human brain and the machine possible.
After focusing on autonomous cars, colonization of the planet Mars and a network of underground tunnels, Tesla CEO Elon Musk is working on a brain implant. The entrepreneur hopes to add a layer of artificial intelligence to the human brain.
The cyborg man
Elon Musk launched a new challenge, that of implanting in the human brain the possibility of communicating directly with a computer. The Wall Street Journal reports that the man started a new business last July under the name of Neuralink. This young growth should make it possible to create cyborg men who would see their cognitive capacities increase thanks in particular to a new layer of artificial intelligence at the level of the brain.
The startup is still in its infancy if we are to believe a certain Max Hodak, who is participating in the project with his software solution in the cloud. Neuralink is also said to have recruited a number of academics specializing in neuroscience.
An augmented brain?
Elon Musk believes in the future of this research and should take a decisive role in his society. He finances it himself with the sale of shares in his other companies. This is not a surprise in itself since he had already mentioned his interest in neuroscience and the man-machine interface – or rather brain-machine. It is not uncommon for the billionaire to also express his concern about the evolution of artificial intelligence and he created OpenAI which makes it possible to ensure that the progress of AI is not a danger for humans.
The intravenous device could initially treat diseases such as depression or even epilepsy. This is to be compared with what is already being done for patients with Parkinson's disease.
