[ETE] Take up smart health connected diving with our selection!

[ad_1]

Summer is coming ! Each week, to help you have a sunny and smart health connected vacation, we will present a selection of summer-related items. We start today, a little early. First step, smart health connected diving. Discover five essential objects to enjoy the most beautiful diving spots.

Seastrong Horological Smartwatch, a watch for smart health connected diving

We presented you a few weeks ago the Seastrong Horological Smartwatch, in our top waterproof smart health connected watches. Designed by the Alpina brand, it combines the excellence of Swiss watchmaking with the new technologies of a classic smartwatch. Its water resistance up to 100 meters will allow you to use it both for snorkeling and for diving with oxygen cylinders. Its smart health connected side stands out mainly through activity and sleep sensors, notifications and dynamic coaching.

It lacks some information that would be really useful for diving like depth or pressure but it represents a very interesting alternative, for a model that is both urban and leisure. You can continue to wear it in September when you return to work. On the tariff side, it costs “only” € 595. If this is still an investment, it is a drop compared to most equivalent models like the Tag Heuer smart health connected.

Life Saver Wetsuit, the smart health connected diving suit

This is not a project that was born on the market but a prototype designed by students of the ESILV engineering school. The Life Saver Wetsuit wetsuit is designed to save lives. It indeed incorporates a rescue system for those practicing high-level aquatic sports. This consists of two parts. The first is a device for quickly rise to the surface thanks to pressure sensors located on an Arduino board. The second part is to provide a system of alerts. In case of danger to the wearer, someone on land is then immediately warned. Of course, this concept / prototype never saw the light of day. But the idea should be seriously studied as its potential seems interesting.

Idive Housing, to take your iPAd with you

Isn't GoPro your thing? Do you really love your iPad too much and want to take it underwater to immortalize your dive? So we advise you to look at House Diving. This ultra resistant and waterproof shell will allow you to take it up to 100 meters deep without taking any risks. You can easily interact with the screen thanks to a rather ingenious system based on a thin air membrane.

Uses are of course possible for photo and ehealth but not only. Do you want to access a map of the area? Scientific information about the fish or the corals around you? Everything becomes possible in a few clicks. You can also hang accessories like a lamp or camera lens on it. However, this is a real investment. Count 999 dollars for the latest model which is compatible with iPad Air 2 and iPad Pro 9.7 ″.

Scubus S, the augmented reality diving mask

Smart Scubus S is a great project, but unfortunately it failed. It is an augmented reality mask for diving. Scubus S notably made it possible to chat easily with other people diving with us thanks to a system of pre-recorded messages. You could ask them to take a picture of you or come and help you. Since conventional networks (bluetooth, radio, wireless) do not work very well underwater, these creators had imagined the use of sound waves. The helmet also provided a lot of data on the screen in real time: depth, water temperature, immersion time. A camera and LED lighting were also on the program.

The operation on Indiegogo unfortunately did not raise the funds necessary for this project. So we will have to wait for another similar project to see the light of day. The price announced at the time was $ 500. Much more than a classic model, or even the best full-face 180 ° diving masks.

iBubble, the scuba diving camera

iBubble is the first diving drone accessible to the general public. Appeared last year on Indiegogo, he raised over $ 220,000. It is a very complete model that can follow you while you swim and thus offer images that you will be in a hurry to share. Among its main options are: complete wireless autonomy, pre-configured camera movements, obstacle avoidance or image recognition. A 2000 lumen lighting system also guarantees good brightness. The company announces a one-hour battery life for the iBubble. Enough to cover the majority of your dives.

Deliveries that were originally scheduled for June 2020 have been postponed by a year. It is still possible to order for a price of 2000 dollars. If you want a model right away, even with different features, Gladius, OpenRove or Fathom One are interesting alternatives.
