[ad_1]

More and more patients expect to be able to make appointments with their doctor online. That is why more and more doctors want to introduce an online appointment booking.

Last but not least, doctors want to gain a competitive advantage over the competition. These are the results of a survey by the doctor search jameda GmbH, which asked a total of 1,382 doctors about the use of online appointment booking systems.

Online appointment booking offers more patient service

One in three of the doctors surveyed enables their patients to book appointments online. Why doctors offer their patients this service can be summarized as follows: The online appointment arrangement addresses patients successfully. Doctors not only respond to their patients' requests to arrange medical appointments online, but also see this option as a special patient service. Finally, there is a great advantage that patients can make appointments with their doctor when it best fits their daily routine, e.g. in the evening or at the weekend.

Making appointments online brings more patients

Accordingly, many doctors use online appointment booking as a unique selling point, which distinguishes them from other practices. The third most important reason for doctors to offer online appointments is successful patient acquisition. Every third physician with an online appointment booking function believes that it will attract more patients (35 percent).
