Family Hub – The smart health connected and smart Samsung refrigerator

Family Hub is a smart health connected and intelligent refrigerator that Samsung has just presented during its keynote at CES 2016 in Las Vegas. Suffice to say that this is an incredible little gem of technology packed with features!

Family Hub immediately surprises with its touch screen integrated into the right door. Personally, I find that this huge shelf fits quite well in the refrigerator. The 21.5 inch screen at 1080p resolution obviously uses Tizen; the Samsung health home bone. From this tablet, you will be able to order your groceries directly from FreshDirect and ShopRite. The application managed by MasterCard will add other stores during the year 2016; we do not yet know which stores will be available in France. Thanks to the Go-Gurt function there is no risk of your children ordering anything since you will have to approve the basket that they have filled.

In addition to this screen, the fridge is equipped with three cameras inside and which allow you to know what it contains without even opening the door, all from an Android and iOS compatible application. Ideal for checking whether to buy eggs or milk on the way health home from work. In addition to the cameras, Samsung’s smart and smart health connected fridge has a built-in speaker for listening to music.

Thanks to its screen, the refrigerator will also be able to inform you of your schedule, display photos but also the weather or even YouTube videos. At the moment we do not know exactly how this interface will work, but it is a safe bet that it is partly controlled from the five buttons located at the bottom of the screen. To find out more, you'll have to wait to see it more closely.

If no price has been announced by Samsung for the moment, the Family Hub refrigerator could be available from May in the United States.
