Fastfox, a smart health connected bracelet for only $ 7!

[ad_1]

A few months ago, the Chinese Xiaomi created the sensation by announcing an activity sensor for only $ 13. The low-cost specialist certainly did not think that the Chinese start-up Fastfox would offer a smart health connected bracelet for even cheaper… Currently being funded on the Pozible Australian crowdfunding platform, the Fastfox sensor was launched with an early-bird rate of $ 7 only! The first copies having all been sold, it will now cost $ 9 for this activity sensor, with delivery again this month.

Fastfox, a (very) low cost version of the Misfit Shine?

Misfit had already launched a low cost version of its flagship activity sensor, the Shine. Called Flash, it sports the same design, but the materials chosen are of lower quality (plastic instead of aluminum). Fastfox was largely inspired by the brand to produce a similar smart health smart health connected object which also wishes to measure the physical activity of the wearer. Like its American counterpart, Fastfox imagined a round sensor with 12 LEDs to display progress directly on the user's wrist. The Chinese being fond of customization, the start-up has imagined a whole series of stickers and bracelets in different colors to seduce a large audience.

In terms of compatibility, Fastfox announces that the device will be compatible with iOS and Android, and that the data will even be recoverable from Apple’s Health app (HealthKit). At the moment, there are very few previews available of these applications, there is little doubt that they will be of high quality by the time they are released at the end of the month. On the autonomy side, the manufacturer announces 4 to 6 months for this sensor which is also supposed to be water resistant.

In short, apart from the quality and the 3 grams of differences with the Misfit Shine, I don't see much different…
