Finally a keyboard for smartwatches
Would TouchOne be the keyboard that all smartwatch owners expect? This keyboard app for smartwatch could well transform the way we interact with our portable devices.
TouchOne works on both square and circular smartwatches. It is positioned around the screen and presents the letters in a grouped fashion. The concept is exactly the same as the old one T9 keyboard predictive since once you start composing your word, the keyboard will suggest the word you were looking to write.
The TouchOne keyboard, whose patent was filed in 2013, recently won an award: CeBIT Australia. But where it hurts is that Android Wear and watchOS don't allow third-party keyboard apps. This means that in addition to creating the keyboard, developers must create their own messaging apps that will use the keyboard. This could significantly reduce the adoption of this great keyboard.
To achieve this, the developers of this keyboard are now looking for $ 10,000 AUD to continue their development. Having received numerous encouragements at the XDA Developers forum, it seems to me that they will still have a lot of trouble seducing without the help of Google or Apple; and more generally, of those who create the OS of smartwatches.
