Fitbit Coach arrives in your living room!

There's something new on the Fitbit Coach side! Although Fitbit has been slow to bring all the functionality of its Coach platform to the Ionic, the company has announced that its smartwatches and fitness bands will soon be able to sync with a range of Microsoft devices.

Previously, Fitbit Coach could only be accessed on smartphones, or on the Fitbit Ionic via a light version of the tool. But with this all-new partnership, Microsoft HoloLens, Windows 10 and Xbox One users will be able to follow guided workouts and other personalized fitness programs from health home.

So you’ll be free to exercise without pairing one of the company’s fitness wearables but synchronizing in real time with your PC, TV screen or AR headset. You will therefore be able to monitoring your heart rate while you sweat.

Obviously, this new compatibility will be significantly more popular with Xbox One and Windows 10 users than with HoloLens owners, due to the fact that the headset is always more focused on developers and companies, and not on mainstream consumers.

In addition, we will have to wait for AR to develop over the next few years before we can take full advantage of this. So the immediate benefit here is being able to pair your tracker with other devices in your health home. It is ideal for all those who prefer to avoid the gym in favor of sports sessions in their living room.
