Less than a year after its release, the Microsoft Band has not yet managed to stand out (among other things because of the release of the Apple Watch) from its competitors. However, Windows understands that golf (especially in the United States) is one of the most important and lucrative markets.

When it is next updated (in a few weeks), new features will be available for our golfing friends. The Band will now allow to keep its statistics and scores, to analyze the courses and even to know the distance with (in yards and meters). Thanks to its sensors, the Band bracelet will also be able to differentiate between training and real shots during a course. The GPS will know and indicate it when the player is on the "Practice".

This update born from a collaboration with the golf company TaylorMade, will be completely free and if you are not yet equipped with this small smart health connected bracelet, you will find it on your shelves for the sum of $ 200 (just over € 175).
