French Start-Up Tackles International
Vivoka, the young French start-up is now tackling the international scene and unveils Lola, its new smart health home solution on the crowdfunding site KickStarter.
Vivoka was created by four students from Epitech. Incubated at Synergie Lorraine, the young start-up intends to revolutionize the way we control our smart health connected objects. With partners like Withings, Fibaro or Aeotec, the Lola health home automation box aims to allow us to control our health home with our voice or our smartphone. So far, not much new you say. And I agree with you, especially since gesture control would have been welcome.
So what are Lola's competitive advantages? First of all, Lola is compatible with many health home automation communication protocols such as Zigbee, Zwave, En ocean, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. This will allow it to control a maximum of smart health connected objects present on the market. With Lola, it will also be possible to set up scenarios. For example, you can define that at a given time and depending on the temperature and the sunshine outside, your heating turns on or off and your blinds open or close.
Another differentiating factor: 3D mapping. This is probably what is most interesting with Vivoka's health home automation solution. This feature allows you to view from a smartphone, tablet or computer, a 3D representation of your house or apartment. It will also allow you to interact with all of your equipment with a single click. For me, this is what will make the difference with competing health home automation boxes.
If you are interested in Lola, go to KickStarter product page. You can pre-order the box from 200 €. The young start-up hopes to make 2,000 presales and raise 100,000 euros. Several packs are obviously available. The Starter Pack including the box, 3 smartplugs and 3 smart health connected sockets. The Security Pack including the box, 2 presence detectors, an IP camera, 1 seat and 1 opening detector. The eco pack including the box, 2 smartplugs and 2 energy meters.
