Garmin Fenix 5 Plus – Music and mobile payment on the program!

The Garmin Fenix 5 Plus range is made up of three smartwtaches: the Fenix 5 Plus, the Fenix 5S Plus and the Fenix 5X Plus; all of which are upgraded versions of the series 5 watches launched last year by the brand.

The smart health connected watches of the Garmin Fenix 5 Plus range are therefore more updates than pure creations. Among the new features of the three watches, we have support for Garmin Pay to make contactless payments. There is also a built-in music player allowing you to stream music when the watch is paired with a Bluetooth headset.

In this Garmin Fenix 5 Plus range, the brand has also added new sensors and new measurements. The brand has notably added an oxy-fuel acclimation sensor. This allows users to be more aware of their blood oxygen saturation levels; which is particularly useful for outdoor monitoring when you have to adapt to higher altitudes. This feature is only available on the 5X Plus model.

Another development: topographic maps are coming to the 5S Plus and 5 Plus versions; they were already available on the 5X version. The shows now incorporate the Trendline navigation function; suitable for cycling and running. It will use Garmin Connect data to allow users to find the best routes.
