A major player in the GPS runner segment, Garmin continues to expand its range of Quantified Self and today announced two new products: the smart health connected Vivosmart HR bracelet and a scale, the Smart Scale Index.

As the name suggests, the new Vivosmart HR allows you to measure, in addition to daily physical activity (no, distance, calories, floors and sleep) heartbeat. Like Fitbit Charge HR or Fitbit Surge, the Vivosmart HR captures cardiac activity 24 hours a day. Its touch screen is permanently activated and allows you to receive notifications, such as calls, SMS, emails and control of music. Announced autonomy is 5 days and the bracelet is waterproof up to 50 meters. It is compatible with iOS and Android.

The Garmin Vivosmart HR will be available from November for € 149.
