Garmin vivomove Style: Review, price and specification
[ad_1]
To measure the performance of the Vivomove Style, we compared its results with those of the Polar H10 chest belt, which we consider to be very reliable in terms of measurements. We measured our heart rate during a run by following the laps on a 1.9 km circuit. Regarding cycling, we had a typical circuit of 3.12 km.
The Vivomove Style 3 incorporates a heart rate monitoring, a barometric altimeter, an accelerometer and a pulse oximeter. No GPS, so it is necessary to have your smartphone in your pocket to know the distances traveled. A common gap, but regrettable for a watch signed Garmin.
For its part, the heart rate monitoring performs very relevant measurements. On a gentle outing, the data collected is extremely close to that obtained by the Polar H10 chest belt, which we consider to be our reference. Thus, the margin of error is around 1%. During a runnning outing, for example, we get a differential of around 4%, so nothing important. Finally, on a split session the watch also manages to transcribe rather realistic curves.
We did, however, face many connection problems. For example, the watch may refuse to activate GPS for an unknown reason. Particularly frustrating complications since the race mode without GPS tends to stop quickly for lack of information.
Finally, like many smart health connected watches on the market, the Vivomove Style proves capable of monitoring sleep. This feature is just as successful as in competition, that is to say that its results are generally consistent with reality, but it is enough not to make big gestures on waking and to stroll in bed to make him believe that we continue to sleep.
