Design & Ergonomics
While we have already discovered other smartwatches on Machineo under Android Wear, Moto 360 is the first smartwatch to hit the market with a round dial (although LG's G Watch R is also available on the market).
Anyway, and to recall this feature, the box protecting the device is completely cylindrical. Once opened, you immediately fall on the watch with the wireless charging base and the traditional quick start guide below.
With the wireless charging station included in the box, you won't need to spend tens of dollars extra to charge your watch. This is also the case for the LG G Watch R by the way.
Once placed on its charging station, the dial becomes a real clock, which is very useful even if it is not on your wrist.
The Motorola charger arrives with a wall outlet to power the micro-USB port.
Ecosystem & Application
To configure the watch, you will need to use the Motorola Connect app. It will allow us to personalize the operation of the Moto 360 and access certain features like the wellness center, where you can monitoring your heart rate and count your steps.
It will also be possible to personalize the watch dials, its colors and even choose the time zones displayed on its dials.
In other words, you will really be able to shape the watch to your image.
In conclusion
My first impressions have not changed and I think exactly the same as after the Google I / O. It's obviously a "big" watch, but it makes it easy to read notifications, and with highly personalized dials, make the most of the round dial.
Despite its size, its design is excellent, corresponding to most traditional watches you can have on your wrist. In addition, with the ability to choose the bracelet that suits your tastes, this further contributes to the feeling of having an everyday watch on your arm.
The look and feel of the watch is obviously to be credited with the genuine leather of the bracelet supplied by Horween, the same brand that designed the leather back cover for the new Moto X. The model I received was black with black leather straps, but you can also get it in silver with a leather strap Grey. This is clearly a small attention that will have its effect compared to the rubber strap used on the LG G Watch.
Of course, I couldn't talk about Moto 360 without mentioning the black bar at the bottom of the screen. Many people think that this is just a shortcoming of the product, but it quickly disappears and the overall design of the watch is still fantastic.
Here is the first look at the Moto 360! Obviously I am delighted to have this watch in hand, and we can't wait to put it to the Review. Stay tuned to Machineo for a complete review of the Moto 360.
