Google Assistant now works with 5,000 devices

A few days before its I / O Developer Conference, Google has provided new information regarding its Google Assistant since it started two years ago.

The company's Google Assistant was introduced at Google I / O 2016 and is now available in Google’s own smart speakers, Google health home, as well as Android phones; and of course in other third party materials.

Google Assistant now works with 5,000 devices

At the I / O developer conference, Google revealed that it now works with more than 5,000 devices, up from just 1,500 at the start of the year. A great feat in terms of integration on the part of brands.

Ultimately, the Google Assistant now supports almost all major brands. The American firm is currently working with Dish to integrate Hopper receivers. Another example, the wizard will also work with Logitech Harmony remotes so you can change channels, adjust the volume, etc.

Google has also confirmed that the Assistant works with Nest’s Hello doorbell. With this integration, the Google Assistant can stream the ringtone ehealth stream to your phone. Google announced the rollout of similar functionality for other Nest products "later this year." We can also expect integrations for ADT bulbs, Xiaomi lights, Hunter Douglas blinds, Arlo security cameras, Hisense A / C and humidifiers, and new LG devices.

Voice control functionality for some of these brands will begin rollout in May. Keep in mind that Amazon, which is a few years ahead, wins the integration race. Earlier this year, an Amazon representative said that Alexa works with 12,000 devices.

Anyway, as you can see, Google still has some work to do before catching up with Amazon. However, this is the first time that he has communicated with such precision on this subject and on this subject.
