Google Brillo confirmed during I / O 2015

Google Brillo was confirmed as I announced last week. Brillo is the name of the operating system dedicated to the Internet of things for the American giant.

Google Brillo was therefore presented by Sundar Pichai last night at the Google I / O developers conference. If we still don't know if this name will be final (because it is also the name of a cleaning product in the United States), it will use an Android infrastructure to reach a “true universal standard” for smart devices and the smart health connected world.

Google Brillo I / O 2015

What's interesting with Brillo is that this operating system will allow smart health connected objects to talk to each other. All in a very simple way, since using the same names, a common language.

Besides these names, the company also provides Weave, a communication layer that controls the hardware that allows devices to connect, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

To conclude, I am a little disappointed with what was announced yesterday. I was hoping to know a lot more and in particular to know the real name of this OS for smart health connected objects. We will no doubt know more about Brillo in the weeks and months to come.
