H2O Pal, the smart health connected bottle that measures hydration

[ad_1]

Despite a failed Kickstarter campaign, the founders of the H2O Pal smart health connected bottle want to believe it. The objective is to measure its hydration in real time.

H2O Pal is a project that has failed to complete its campaign Kickstarter : Only $ 7,000 out of the $ 95,000 was collected, but the founders nevertheless want to launch the project. Original of its kind, H2O Pal makes it possible to make a "smart health connected" bottle and allows you to monitoring your water consumption (and in fact its hydration) from a mobile application (iOS). For this smart use presented at CES 2014, the whole secret lies in the cap: unlike its competitor BlueFit which requires the user to always drink from the same bottle, the cap of the H2O Pal is compatible with many bottles.

H2O Pal measures consumption by analyzing the weight of the bottle

Depending on the weight of the bottle on which it is grafted, it can then determine the amount of water that the user drinks (1L = 1kg, it's not that complicated …) during the day. Via a connection in Bluetooth 4.0, this data is then synchronized and consolidated on the mobile application. From there, the user can set alerts to make sure that he drinks enough during the day. The H2O Pal with hydration is a bit like the Jawbone UP24 for athletes …

Obviously, not all of the water ingested can be controlled (eg cafeteria drinks) although it is possible to add data manually, but the idea is to reach at least the level recommended by the H2O sensor. Better to drink a little more than not enough, especially in summer.

On the price side, it was offered at $ 69. Since no news.
