Hands-on: Casio WSD-F10 – smartwatch for outdoor geeks

First TAG Heuer, then Fossil and now Casio. More and more classic watch manufacturers are also launching smart watches. The WSD-F10 is an intelligent wristwatch with Google's Android Wear – in the classic Casio design.

The name of the watch already makes it clear: this is not a stylish fancy watch for a restaurant visit, but a powerful time indicator with essential tools. The watch comes in four colors: red, olive green, orange and black.

The Casio has two displays: a monochrome and energy-efficient for the time and a color display for the smartwatch capabilities. Switching is done by the watch itself, depending on the situation, it tries to protect the battery.

The WSD-F10 also offers interesting features for anglers, such as a tide display. It also offers an altimeter, barometer and digital compass. In addition, there is a camera in the accessories that connects to the smartwatch; the viewfinder image is displayed on the watch. The name of the accessory is Casio Exilim Outdoor Recording Gear EX-FR100.

Both products cost 500 euros each and should appear soon. Anyone who is a fan of the G-Shock series could definitely become weak here.
