he puts everything on the aesthetic!

Only a few weeks after formalizing the Blaze, Fitbit returns with a new activity sensor. If the first models of the brand were clearly oriented towards sports performance, the Blaze or now the Fitbit Alta aim to attract a wider audience, thanks to a new aesthetic.

The Fitbit Blaze was a first step towards the general public with an ultra-complete and customizable smart health connected bracelet – but unfortunately too expensive for some. The new Fitbit Alta puts everything on the aesthetic, with a price that remains relatively affordable ($ 130) thanks to fairly standard features. The American company played it "à la Apple" by inviting an entire public of fashion editors to present its product in preview in New York. In the niche of fashionable bracelets, Fitbit clearly walks on the flatbed of a Jawbone, or the newest Misfit Ray.

Fitbit focuses on design and price

This new activity sensor has the particularity of having a OLED touch screen, a stainless steel case and a leather strap (different colors available). On the screen, the user can read basic information such as time, physical activity and sleep. On the other hand, it is not a question here of measuring the heart rate, as one can have it on the Charge HR, Surge or Blaze. No mention of GPS either. The Fitbit Alta will have an autonomy of 5 days, a standard in the sector.

Fitbit also took care of add all the "smart" features he developed on the previous models: a small vibration when the user is not active enough, automatic detection of physical activity carried out (running, cycling …) or receiving notifications from a smartphone (iOS, Android and Windows Phone).

See you next March to buy it!
