The Health Data Hub has published its strategic plan for the 2019-2022 period. Discovery of the issues.
The Health Data Hub takes over the missions of INDS while expanding them:
A one-stop shop facilitating, for projects contributing to the public interest, access to the necessary health data while respecting patients' rights and ensuring transparency with civil society.
A documented data catalog built progressively to make priority data available to the scientific community (historical SNDS, cohorts, registers, hospital data, etc.).
A state-of-the-art secure platform, offering data storage, calculation, reconciliation and analysis capacity, allowing the conduct of innovative projects sometimes considered impossible today.
A range of tools to promote networking and bringing together key players in the sector.
"The use of data, particularly health data, is exploding globally. New innovations are emerging every day. We must seize the opportunity to use this data to improve care for the benefit of the patient and the healthcare professional in their daily practice”Says the Health Data Hub.
Health Data Hub strategic challenges
The Health Data Hub team has unveiled its strategic plan for the 2019-2022 period. Four issues are identified:
Decompartmentalize the wealth of health data and improve quality
Register in the catalog of priority datasets
Install a national automated procedure to facilitate the selection and upload of data to the catalog and their matching
Create a “base cohort” gathering finely localized clinical and medico-administrative data on a representative sample of the population
Promote producers participating in the data sharing dynamic
Strengthen the use of data through an attractive service offer
Put in place simplified procedures and an industrialized process to reduce access times
Strengthen and maintain the technology offer of the Hub
Develop a service offering allowing efficient use of data
Disseminate the service offer to all stakeholders: research organizations, manufacturers, public private partnerships, etc.
Position France as a leader in the use of health data
Feeding the international scientific community
Structure and standardize health data to facilitate its use in international collaborations
Contribute to the structuring of the European landscape around the use of health data
Promote the Health Data Hub internationally
Guarantee the participation of civil society and promote the use of health data
Listening to civil society and understanding their expectations to establish a relationship of trust
Explain and disseminate the commitments of the Heath Data Hub around compliance with procedures, control of uses, control of data and risks, clarification and support in the exercise of rights
Establish a communication and dissemination policy for the culture of health data
Develop the provision of strictly anonymous data in free access to provide public data for purposes develop general knowledge of the health system
