Joggers appreciate being able to follow their workouts and keep track of them to get an idea of their progress. More and more we come across them with a bracelet or a watch smart health connected to the wrist. Specialist in the field, Polar offers a new activity tracker watch, more oriented towards running, the M200. Seemingly simple, the smart health connected watch is still equipped with the most essential tools for athletes, including a heart rate sensor and a GPS.

The Polar M200 renews the range of fitness watches from the Finnish manufacturer. Unlike previous models such as the Polar M400, the M200 offers a somewhat different design since its dial is round. Its design is, moreover, all that is most basic, the watch is clearly not a fashion accessory but more of a practical object. Its silicone strap is however interchangeable.

GPS and heart rate sensor for the M200

In terms of functionality, the Polar M200 will allow you to follow your daily activities, by entering the number of steps taken, the calories burned, the quality of sleep, etc. but it is rather intended for sportsmen. Thus, during training, the smart health connected watch can display distance traveled, speed, altitude and elevation. In addition, thanks to integrated heart rate monitoring, runners will be able to track their heart rate, a particularly appreciated function since it allows to measure its effort.

The M200 is also equipped with a GPS thus making it possible to know live the distance traveled, the race time and obtain an average speed. The watch will be detected when the runner stops and resumes his race. In the end, he will thus obtain a more precise account of his training. The Polar watch can be smart health connected to the smartphone by Bluetooth and can therefore receive different notifications. It will notify the wearer of a new notification by vibrating.

Synchronization with Polar Flow

Polar M200 can be synchronized with the Polar Flow health home app. With this app, users will get detailed statistics at the end of each of their sessions, including the summary as a graph of their heart rate throughout the exercise and additional information on their journey.

In addition, from the Flow website, athletes can create training sessions according to their goals, run 5 kilometers, 10 kilometers or even a half-marathon. Once the program has been chosen, it will be possible to synchronize it with the tracker which will provide directions to the user to complete their goals.

The M200 should be available in France early next year, priced at 150 euros, cheaper than its competitor Garmin Forerunner 35. 5 colors will be offered, black, red, yellow, white and blue.
