Hexoskin releases its first smart health connected T-shirt

[ad_1]

Hexoskin is a Canadian start-up that intends to impose itself on the smart health connected clothing market. If its competitor OMsignal has already managed to partner with Ralph Lauren for T-shirts, Hexosikin has just launched its first product, a Biometric t-shirt after successfully completing its IndieGoGo campaign in late 2013. However, the company has already partnered with the Brooklyn Nets NBA team, NASA and the Canadian space agency.

Available for the moment only in the United States, the T-shirt incorporates a whole series of sensors capable of measuring heart rate (and its variations), breathing, volume of air breathed, steps, calories burned or even sleep. The physical activity sensor is hidden in the T-shirt pocket, while the other sensors are directly integrated into the elastic fabric.

The starter-kit which is sold for 399 € per unit includes the Bluetooth connector which transfers information from the T-shirt to a iOS or Android mobile app, while a USB cable is provided to charge the T-shirt (14 hours of autonomy). If the latter is smart health connected to the smartphone, the user will be able to read the information on the mobile application in real time.
