Hexoskin seeks FDA approval
[ad_1]
Canadian start-up Carre Technologies, better known as Hexoskin, has announced $ 960,000 in funding from local investors to fund a new line of smart health connected apparel. The goal is to obtain a license from the US FDA (equivalent to our Afssaps) to market its product in a medical perspective.
Since the beginning of 2014, Hexoskin has already been selling some smart health connected clothes that can be used to monitoring heart rate, breathing, physical activity or sleep. Faced with his two great rivals Athos and OMSignal (whose collaboration with Ralph Lauren caused a lot of noise), Hexoskin now wants to stand out with a new product that would be approved by the FDA. For the moment, no additional information has been given.
The company has already convinced the Canadian Space Agency since last year : A team of 6 people had embarked on a Review expedition to Antartica with equipment developed by Hexoskin and christened Astroskin. The agency sought to verify the compatibility of these smart clothes with a potential life in space.
