HRM-Swim / HRM-Tri – Garmin Heart Rate Monitors
HRM-Swim and HRM-Tri are the first two submarine heart rate monitors, or heart rate monitors, presented by the Garmin brand.
The HRM-Swim is specifically designed for workouts in the pool, or more broadly in the water. It has a non-slip surface to make sure it stays in place. The monitoring itself has a compact design ensuring minimal drag in water and can store up to 20 hours of heart rate data. When you're out of the water, you can sync it with the Garmin Forerunner 920XT, Fenix 3, or Epix watches.
The HRM-Tri, you guessed it, is for triathletes. It will record your heart rate data during each activity during your workout. It is the smallest and lightest of Garmin monitors and offers advanced functions; including measuring your cadence, measuring vertical oscillation and contact time with the ground. It is compatible with the Garmin Forerunner 920XT, the Forerunner 620, the Fenix 3, the Fenix 2 and finally the Epix.
Andrew Silver, EMEA fitness product manager Garmin said: "The HRM-Tri and HRM-Swim offer new features to triathletes and swimmers, providing them with the most comprehensive data to help them progress and achieve their goals. "
The MRH-Tri can run 10 months on its battery and the HRM-Swim up to 18 months. The two smart health connected objects can be used with Garmin Connect to analyze, for example, heart charts. The first costs around 145 euros while the second is offered at a price of 115 euros. If you want to buy both, a pack is offered at a price of 215 euros. Finally if you are really, but then really addicted, you can buy the pack including the two monitors but also the Forerunner 920XT for the modest sum of 645 euros.
