Huawei Band 2 and Pro2: what's new?

Huawei has officially unveiled the Huawei Band 2 and the Band Pro 2, a pair of fitness trackers that monitoring your activity and offer advice for better training and better recovery.

The Huawei Band 2 and Huawei Band Pro 2 monitoring users' physical fitness to provide them with a personalized, real-time training program. The Pro version goes even further because it also has VO2 Max knowledge.

Already used on the Huawei Watch 2, VO2 Max was developed with the Firstbeat analytics firm and is based on its technology to detect fitness levels with an accuracy of about 95%.

In addition to that, the platform is also able to take advantage of Training Effect, a statistic allowing to evaluate how each exercise session had an impact on your fitness and to know what recovery time is necessary before the next session.

Both devices are capable of supporting up to 5ATM of water pressure, allowing you to use them for diving in the pool. The Pro version will also offer advice from TruSleep.

Although this list of features is not completely revolutionary, it allows the Chinese manufacturer Huawei to go up a little in range and, thus, to be able to compete with brands like Fitbit.

You will understand, it is especially the Huawei Band Pro 2 which comes closest to the Fitbit Charge 2. Not to mention the appearance of the device, which seems to be a mixture between the Charge range and the Alta offers of Fitbit. Anyway, the two wearables offer VO2 Max and a host of more or less essential advice. What will really make the difference is the Pro version GPS.
