Huawei Fit, a watch-like fitness bracelet

Those who are looking for a smart health connected bracelet or watch to monitoring their physical activities are spoiled for choice in a market where several manufacturers offer products at all prices and for all tastes. If it is Fitbit that has the largest market share, the other manufacturers hope to overshadow it with quality products. This is the case of Huawei, which launched the Huawei Fit a few weeks ago, a fitness bracelet that looks more like a watch.

If Huawei is better known in our region for its smartphones which flirt with the best models on the market marketed by Samsung and Apple, the Chinese manufacturer also offers its wearable collection. Its smart health connected watch, soberly called Huawei Watch, was also tested by us a few months ago. Huawei also offers activity trackers, and after Talk Band 3, here's the Huawei Fit, which also acts as a coach.

Huawei Fit: the fitness bracelet that is not one

Design side the Huawei Fit is more like a watch with its round metallic dial. It reminds a little of the Pebble Time Round but only for the aesthetic part, the tracker of the Chinese manufacturer is not as advanced. The bracelet is equipped with an LCD screen of just over an inch, protected by a Gorilla 3 glass.

If the Huawei Fit has features similar to smart watches, it will receive notifications of calls, emails or SMS received by the smartphone to which it is paired, it is above all an activity tracker. Note that it is compatible with both Android and iOS mobile devices. The smart health bracelet is even rather classic in its functionality. Thus, steps not taken, distance traveled and calories burned will be measured. Little more, it will be able to detect if its user is running or walking.

Heart rate monitoring and waterproofing

The Huawei Fit does not carry GPS but a heart rate monitoring is integrated. Athletes can therefore check their heart rate at any time. In addition, it will be perfectly suitable for swimmers, it is waterproof up to 5 meters. The activity tracker comes accompany an application developed by Huawei, which will recover all the data recorded by the sensors. Users will therefore have plenty of time to analyze the statistics of their jogging sessions.

A coach is also included for runners, which supports different distances, from 5 kilometers to the marathon. Finally, since rest is as important as good training, the Fit will also follow sleep.

The Huawei Fit strap is made of silicone and different colors are available. However, it is compatible with any 18 mm bracelet. It is priced at $ 130, but is still not available in France at this time.
