Huawei Watch GT 2e: 4 GB of storage and 14 days of battery life, for less than € 200

Huawei has just presented the Watch GT 2e. This new smart health connected watch intends to stand out from the competition thanks to its great autonomy: 14 days according to the manufacturer. It has other assets to assert, such as its 4 GB of storage, or even its hundred modes of sports training.

Due to the coronavirus epidemic in France, Huawei has been forced to revise its plans. The manufacturer was to give a conference in Paris dedicated to the presentation of its new devices, the Huawei P40 in mind. Never mind, the company decided to unveil its products via a live broadcast live on the Web.

If of course the Huawei P40, P40 + and P40 Pro were the stars of the show, the manufacturer had other cards in hand starting with the Watch GT 2e. This new smart health connected watch wants to stand out from the competition thanks to its great autonomy, its main strength. Huawei promises 14 days of autonomy for standard use.

A Watch GT 2nd thought for sport

This unprecedented version of the GT2 is primarily intended for athletes, as indicated in this perforated silicone strap, for better ventilation. We also note that this same bracelet is integrated into the stainless steel case, for optimal comfort (which implies that it is not possible to change it).

It has many features dedicated to monitoring sports activities. The Watch GT 2e offers measures adapted according to the sport practiced (parkour and climbing have been added) and it has a hundreds of training modes different. In addition, it is able to go up to 50 meters deep and is therefore ideal for swimming or scuba diving.

The Watch GT 2e also includes a automatic activity detection function. For the moment, only four disciplines benefit from this feature: running, walking, rowing and elliptical trainer. Then there are all the health-related functions such as monitoring the heart rate, monitoring sleep and stress and a novelty, a Sp02 sensor which measures the oxygen saturation in the blood.

Up to 500 songs

On the technical side, the Watch GT 2e has a Kirin A1 chip signed by Huawei. And thanks to its 4 GB of storage space, users will be able to save up to 500 pieces directly on the watch. As a slab, there is a 1.39 inch AMOLED HD screen with a resolution of 454 x 454 pixels. According to Huawei, the Watch GT 2e will be able to offer 30 hours of GPS tracking as well as 24 hours of continuous listening.

It will be available for sale at a date still unknown at the price of € 199 in standard version, and at € 229 and € 249 in " Champagne Gold Edition » depending on the color. Speaking of colors, there will be two: black and red with a black case, and mint green and white with a metal case.
