Huawei Watch with Android Wear works with an iPhone

With the Huawei Watch, the Chinese brand is about to start a small revolution: to operate an Android Wear watch with … an Apple iPhone!

Huawei already offers the famous Huawei Watch for pre-order on Amazon. The Amazon product sheet revealed some interesting information about this Android Wear watch. It has, for example, a round dial equipped with a 1.4 inch AMOLED screen with scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The good point of this dial: there is not the horrible black bar that can be seen among others at the bottom of the screen on the Moto smartwatch. This smart health watch also has a heart rate sensor to track daily activity; when we walk or when we run.

Prices for the watch start at $ 349 for the stainless steel model with a black leather strap. If you want to shell out $ 799, then you can wear a gold-plated stainless steel version with a gold-plated steel bracelet. The Huawei watch will be shipped by Amazon on September 2; story to allow the brand to showcase its smartwatch at the IFA.

If so, the most interesting thing will be how the watch works with the iPhone. The Verge noted that Huawei’s watch is described on Amazon as being compatible with devices running iOS 8.2 or later. Google is working on ways to make Android Wear watches compatible with the iPhone. So it looks like Huawei is among the first to take advantage of this feature.
