Hugo Boss Touch – The Hugo Boss Android smartwatch
A new big name in fashion has decided to position itself on the smartwatch market. With its Hugo Boss Touch smart health connected watch, the brand of the eponymous designer intends to nibble its small part of the cake on the wearable market.
The Hugo Boss Touch smartwatch was presented at a busy Baselworld 2017. Running on Android Wear 2.0, this smartwatch was announced alongside the Movado Connect and Tommy Hilfiger TH24 / 7You during the event which took place in Switzerland. This smartwatch is not the first of the brand since it unveiled last year the Hugo Boss Smart Classic hybrid watch.
Here's what we know so far about this smartwatch. The Hugo Boss Touch is made of stainless steel. Several interchangeable straps will be offered to match the five digital screens designed by the luxury brand. The NFC is integrated, so Android Pay will be available for users.
I can also confirm that there is no heart rate monitoring planned for this watch. This smartwatch shows it clearly, it is a fashion-oriented watch. Personally, I think this is a good thing and it is what will allow this type of watch to differentiate itself. Be careful not to use this argument to remove as many features as possible from the watch.
For information, Hugo Boss watches and accessories are manufactured by Movado; this is why this watch was launched at the same time as others. To name a few, this is also the case for Diesel On, Emporio Armani smart health connected and Michael Kors Access Grayson & Sofie.
If this smartwatch interests you, know that you will be able to buy it, very soon, for around 450 euros. The smartwatch will go on sale in August.
