[IFA 2017] Garmin presents its new sports wearables

At IFA, Garmin presented three new models from its Vivo sports wearable range: the Vivoactive 3, the Vivomove HR and the Vivosport.

News continues to fall at IFA Berlin. Garmin joined in the exercise today and announced the renewal of its range of Vivo sports wearables. Three new models were presented: Vivoactive 3, Vivomove HR and Vivosport.

Garmin Vivoactive 3

The most anticipated model was the Vivoactive 3, direct descendant, but not very similar, of Vivoactive HR. It is a smart health connected watch equipped with a touch screen, a button on the right side anda touch zone, to scroll through the menus, on the left side. It is round and its dial is surrounded by a silver ring. It has a GPS / GLONASS chip, an optical cardio sensor and a barometric altimeter.

New Garmin IFA 2017 Vivoactive 3

The Vivoactive 3 allows you to record several different sports profiles, for which you have configured data displays or alerts (cadence, calories, distance, cardio, pace, time). Many other new features are appearing within the functionalities of the Garmin smart health connected watch. Scheduling training sessions on the Garmin Connect calendar, the ability to save your location, navigate to a point of interest, return to the starting point and even to pay, with Garmin Pay.

This new smart health connected watch costs from € 329 to € 359 depending on the strap.

Garmin Vivomove HR

Unlike the Vivoactive 3, the Vivomove is a hybrid smartwatch, which means it has real hands. It still integrates an OLED screen in the bottom of the dial. The latter is turned off most of the time, it only lights up when its wearer turns his wrist to check the time or its notifications.

It acts as an activity tracker taking into account the number of steps, heart rate, stress level, sleep. Equipped with Move IQ the Vivomove automatically detects activities such as running, cycling or swimming.

This hybrid watch is available from 199 € in sport mode and € 299 in Premium mode.

Garmin Vivosport

The Vivosport is closer to a smart health connected bracelet than a smart health watch. However, it has an OLED screen, but not a touch screen. It is equipped witha cardio sensor and a GPS. It integrates sports profiles for running, cycling, cardio and bodybuilding, as well as Move IQ for automatic recognition of physical activities. Also it integrates the LiveTrack function, which allows your loved ones to follow your GPS location live from the Internet during a sports session.
