Nubia at tease a unique product at IFA. Called Nubia-α, it is a smartphone that can wrap around the wrist in the manner of a smart health connected bracelet.

The International Funkausstellung Berlin, whose 2018 edition is currently being held at the Berlin Exhibition Center, is an opportunity for technology companies to present their new creations. Like Samsung, Huawei, Asus or Sony, Nubia has not forgotten to go to the event to unveil to the world its technological prowess. And since we are talking about the former subsidiary of ZTE, know that the latter has taken advantage of the IFA to lift the veil on a smartphone that is worn like a watch.

With a video teaser that the manufacturer has made to seduce the media and users on the sidelines of the famous fair, we have a preview of the design of Nubia-α.

Nubia-α, discover the smartphone-bracelet of the Chinese manufacturer

Only a few technical details about the product have been provided. This lack of information is quite understandable as Nubia-α is in the development phase. Anyway, we can say that the concept is attractive, and this, despite the fact that it is a technology not quite new. Indeed, there are already on the market smart health connected watches that offer functionality more or less similar to that of a smartphone.

But unlike smartwatches that fall into this category, the Nubia smartphone-bracelet has a relatively large screen and that's where things get interesting. With Nubia-α, we should be able to benefit from an optimal graphical comfort on a smart health connected bracelet considering the size of the device.

Moreover, the screen is OLED type to reduce energy consumption.

In designing the Nubia-α, the Chinese firm has obviously wanted to lead to a product capable of replacing a smartphone while being discreet.

In addition to the organic light emitting diode screen, physical buttons are at the rendezvous. Added to this is a photo sensor and a microphone. The charging pins are located on the back. This location also includes a heart rate sensor.

Moreover, as can be seen on the video, the product adopts a metal bracelet.
