Cyclists at heart will no doubt be won over by the Bling Helmet, a smart helmet designed by the Chinese company LIVALL. Thanks to its many features, the device ensures the safety of cyclists and allows them to always keep in touch with their loved ones.

Bling Helmet, a bright idea

For LIVALL, the IFA international trade fair is a first, and an opportunity to introduce the public to Bling Helmet. This helmet, “will give cyclists the opportunity to get more out of it when they hit the road. With the smart helmet, you can listen to music, communicate with your friends while pedaling (…)“, Explains Zheng Bo, PGD of LIVALL. A well thought out device, which also uses a color code to transmit information to other road users through a system of LEDs.

This is smart health connected to the Bling Jet, a small box to be fixed on its handlebars. When the cyclist wishes turn right or left, just press a button. Like a car turn signal, the LEDs on the back of the helmet will light up on one side or the other to indicate the change, finished reaching out. In addition to this functionality, “Colored LEDs are also present on the top of the Bling Helmet, for the S.O.S function.". In the event of a fall, the top of the helmet glows red and a signal is immediately sent to a contact list preset.

The helmet also acts as a hands-free kit, since it is equipped with a microphone and a speaker so as to facilitate the exchange, while keeping your hands on the handlebars. The cyclist can also listen to music. In front of the Bling Helmet, it is possible to modulate the volume according to his preferences. Charging is done through a USB port.

Closely monitoring its activity

The Bling Helmet was not the only one on display at the LIVALL stand. To take the experience of smart health connected cycling even further, sports enthusiasts of quantified self can also have fun tracking their activity. A sensor to be attached to the pedal and to be smart health connected via Bluetooth to the smartphone in order to see its speed and other data.

The Bling Jet, which can therefore be used to indicate the direction in which the cyclist wishes to turn, acts as a "remote control" and can control both the helmet, whether it is the LED system, but also calls since all you have to do is press one of the two buttons, orange, and indicate by voice command the person you want to reach. The blue button will allow you to control the camera smartphone and take, for example, a snapshot of the road while continuing to pedal.

Again in campaign on the crowdfunding site Indiegogo, LIVALL a already reached his goal of $ 20,000, the company managed to raise $ 168,201. The devices are available for pre-order, the Bling Helmet, and the Bling Jet are available in the Early Birds offer at $ 100.
