IFIT Active, a box too big for the product (unboxing!)
A classic cardboard box. She is however not very solid, I actually tore it apart when I tried to open it.The plastic shell that surrounds it seems to protect the product well.Good thing, just by looking at the box, you can get an idea of the object from every angle.
At the back of the box, there is all of the information that is, before you buy the product, that is, all the features available.
The photo shows us directly to whom this product is intended, ie "the woman who wants to stay active despite her children"(That's all me).I just have to open the box, and discover the contents.
As for bracelet, it is lightweight. Silicone isoux to the touch and seems rather solid. The box contains: the clip to attach the sensor to a belt or a pocket, the USB charger, the wrist strap, a very quick quick installation guide, and the user manual, which explains how use, charge and synchronize your new fitness partner.
Design and Ergonomics
Design level, we're really in minimum effort. It is clear that the primary occupation of the designers was not not to make it an object that we proudly exhibit. The strap is made entirely of silicone, and the buttons to control the watch are also made of plastic. The clasp system is rather discreet and just like the rest of the device, and this is what makes the quality of its design.
Regarding the belt clip, same observation. The object is discreet, not beautiful, and meets minimum needs. His LCD screen is he by cons very satisfaying. The blue of the screen is clear, the information is easy to read and even in bright sunlight.
The bracelet is available in blue, white and red, as is the belt clip. The sensor keeps its deep black.
Mobile app
Mobile app : The free mobile application dedicated to the product is “IFIT TRACK”.
Compatibility : The application is available from iPhone 4S, and the 5th generation iPod Touch. Side Android, the app is available from version 4.3.
Connection: To synchronize your smart health connected bracelet, you must activate the bluetooth of your phone.
So we start by synchronizing the bracelet. From this point of view, no problem, as soon as you launch the application, everything is done to fully explain the configuration. Only manipulation to do, press for three seconds the two buttons of the sensors, to start synchronization
Now let's dive into the details of the application. Note that I had informed my weight and height by creating a user account, and therefore my goals had been indexed to my physical.
It is possible to automatically enter the number of calories thanks to a barcode reader"src =" https://www.ABsmarthealth.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_1345-577×1024.png "/>
Only problem, the latter is not at all well informed"src =" https://www.ABsmarthealth.net/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/IMG_1346-577×1024.png "/>
It is possible to track your calories thanks to the application, but here we are immediately confronted with the major problems of accessibility of its product and its application: it’s not at all perfect for French people! French products are almost never informed, or otherwise very incomplete. And when we are confronted with the website, same problem! with a most dubious translation.
As for the pedometer, nothing to say. It is very sensitive but can be calibrated to your walk (essential if you really want precise data). The display of the distance and the number of steps is very well informed. It's here function which is really the most successful, and for good reason this is its main function. What makes the difference with this pedometer is that it is fully compatible with the treadmills or exercise bikes developed by IFIT. So the application offers you a route according to your progress, and you just have to get on your mat to complete the goals you have set.
Your carpet even makes you travel without moving from health home
Little more, and not least. The brand has partnered with Google Maps, allowing you to program your race route on the Internet as if you were going to follow an actual route. When you use a cardio / fitness machine designed by IFIT, you can thus view the route on the screens, and the mat thus simulates the difference in height to make you feel the terrain.
Getting started and adaptation time
No worries about getting started, and I think the product is as accessible as it claims. However, I am quite disappointed with the lack of translations for the French version.Since the object is really all black, the application is the "touch of color, and its features, apart from tracking calories, are really easy to use and very self-explanatory.
Ease of use
Nothing's easier. Press the top button to see the time and battery level. The bottom button allows you to navigate between the indications concerning the calories burned, the calories created, the difference between the two, the number of steps and the distance.
Sleep tracking and vibrating alarm clock
If you believe the application, I have a more restless sleep. There is always that sleep tracking looks pretty reliable, and that the wake up by vibration East very pleasant and powerful enough to get you out of your sleep. It is even possible to enter a range of a few minutes, so that the vibrator is triggered when you are in the light sleep phase.Little advice all the same, remember to program a real alarm clock just in case.
Feature reminder
Compatibility: IOS 7, Iphone 4S and newer, Ipod touch 5th generation and later, Android 4.3 and beyondPower supply: recharging via USB, 7 days autonomyConnectivity: Low Energy Bluetooth. Bluetooth 4.0Tracking: steps not taken, distance traveled, sleep, calories burned, food trackingSleep: sleep time, sleep duration, sleep cycle
Conclusion
What I liked : the ease of use of the bracelet, the comfort of the device, the ecosystem built around it.What I did not like : the part of the application dedicated to food, the lack of care for the French version, the size of the box in view of the object.
To conclude, the product is really aimed at the person who wants to resume a healthy lifestyle. Besides, it largely fulfills its task. Combined with a good diet, I think the results are there. For athletes looking for performance, I can only advise you to choose another smart health connected bracelet.
