Ikea postpones the release of its smart health connected stores to August 2019

Ikea has announced the arrival of its smart health connected stores, Kadrilj and Fyrtur, for the month of August 2019 in stores. The Swedish brand has indeed decided to postpone again the release of this new range in France.

"Hej! Kadrilj and Fyrtur are expected for the month of August " announces Ikea in a post on his Twitter account. Originally, SmartShades smart health connected blinds were due to land in stores during the month of February 2019.

In a previous tweet, the firm also mentioned a release date during the month of April 2019. According to our colleagues from iGeneration, Ikea would have decided to delay the arrival of its smart health connected blinds in stores following a supply concern. The two objects were also removed during the month of January from the German online catalog, where they made a brief appearance. Rest assured, there is therefore no technical problem with the development of the Kadrilj and Fyrtur blinds.

As a reminder, smart health connected objects designed by Ikea, such as Tradfri bulbs or sockets, stand out from the competition thanks to their compatibility with all voice assistants on the market, namely Siri, Google Assistant, or Amazon Alexa. The blinds can therefore be controlled by voice by speaking directly to your HomePod, your Google health home or your Amazon Echo. The icing on the cake is that they are also compatible with HomeKit, Apple’s health home automation solution. They are sold at a price ranging from 99 to 139 €.
