Intel recalls all Basis Peak models

[ad_1]

Bad news for activity sensor users who will have to stop using their device, Intel has just recalled all Basis Peak models.

In June, users reported overheating problems coming from their Basis Peak. Intel advises customers to stop wearing the watch. The brand then tries to solve the problem for 0.2% of owners concerned (according to Intel), without success. Unable to let users risk burns and blisters, the mark has therefore decided to remove all Basis Peak models released since 2014. Decision difficult to make but necessary for the safety of the users.

This is the email that users have received from Intel.

For users, this means that the Basis Peak adventure stops. From December 31, 2016, the service of Basis Peak will be closed and watches can not be synchronized anymore.

If you own a Basis Peak, we advise you to contact the number 01 41 91 85 29 or visit the Basis website to return your device.

This is not the first time that reliability issues worldwide have come to a specialty brand in wearable devices. We still remember Jawbone's recurring reliability concerns.
