Introducing the new Samsung SmartThings Hub

With the new SmartThings Hub, Samsung will not take long to put its foot on its latest acquisition.

The new version of the SmartThings Hub obviously has the mission of automating your health home but faster and running applications locally. The new Samsung SmartThings Hub also offers a backup battery and back-up options via mobile networks. No more worries in case of internet outage or power outage.

Bad news, however, Samsung has decided to sell its hub accompanied by a subscription: the SmartThings Premium. With this subscription, the hub will contact certain people and send them messages when it detects a problem. You can also ask them to contact your neighbors in the event of a flood. Another feature, in the event of a break-in, you can record videos.

For the moment Samsung plans to release its new SmartThings Hub in North America in April but says nothing about the price of this health home automation box.
