After the TipTalk, the Gear VR controllers and the Welt smart health connected belt presented at CES 2016, here is a new project from Samsung's Creative Lab (a non-profit entity dedicated to developing employees' ideas): smart health connected shoes capable of monitoring personal physical exercises and golf!

This is Salted Venture, a start-up from the program C-Lab from the Korean firm, which presents IOFIT, a pair of smart shoes that record physical data in real time and who, in addition, can follow your activity when you do golf !

Each shoe has sensors at different places around the foot, able to measure the force exerted to infer information about thebalanced (in order to avoid injuries and wasted energy during fitness sessions), the weight transfer (important to have the perfect swing), the center of gravity location, the ground contact, the movement, the pressure

All data acquired, including number of steps, distance and duration, can of course be viewed on mobile with a application companion, smart health connected to the shoes via Bluetooth. We can also consult in real time data on mass transfer, a plantar mapping based on the pressure received, pedestrian rhythm or the contact force between the ground and your feet.

In addition, coaching videos for golf will be offered to the user based on the results and recorded performances (including swing).

As for the battery, count between one week and 10 days of autonomy with a wireless charging. The shoe will go into automatic standbywhen it will no longer detect activity.

These tools can be found at MWC 2016 in Barcelona next week; golf shoes will be on sale at $ 199 between February 22 and March 10 (otherwise, it will cost $ 259). For those dedicated to fitness, it will be $ 199 or $ 149 during this promotional period. The first beta testers should receive it in March, while a crowdfunding campaign will arrive in July on Kickstarter.
