According to the inter-union, 95% of the 45 computer service agents of the CHU Clermont-Ferrand participated in the strike on November 19. The mobilized staff met briefly with Didier Hoeltgen, Director General of the University Hospital Center, and told him of their demands.

A new meeting with the Director General is scheduled for 28 November in the presence of all the agents of the service, told APMnews (APM International group site which is part of HealthClinic) Jean-Noel Fohr, representative of the contract staff FO.

Unions are demanding that three IT staff employed by an external provider be fully integrated. "Some have been there for more than ten years," the trade unionist insisted.

The inter-union also demands "the maintenance of the current workforce". "We will have a 30% decline in the workforce over the next three years because of retirements," he added.

"The replacements are sometimes very long, they take from three to eight months. This shift causes loss of know-how and imposes an additional workload on the team in place, not to mention the training that will have to be given to the new agents. "

The management of the CHU reassures

"The numbers will be preserved," assured his side the general direction of the CHU, interviewed by APMnews.

The Inter also wants to know "the purpose and orientation" of an audit of the hospital being launched. "We hope that this audit determines the means needed to cope with the workload" of the IT department, said Jean-Noel Fohr.

The audit "will define the future strategy of the IT department," said senior management.

A meeting between the agents and the general management is planned "in the days to come", she confirmed. "We had meetings and exchanged several letters with the agents, the dialogue is not broken," she added.
