Jigabyte – A smart health connected coffee table dedicated to entertainment
Today, I'm going to introduce you to Jigabyte, a smart health connected coffee table dedicated to entertainment from the Clive Wrightson brand.
Sitting on the couch watching videos or surfing the Internet using a tablet or laptop is very useful. But sometimes you need a bigger screen or want to share what you've found with family and friends. There are tactile coffee tables on which family and friends can gather; but they can be quite expensive. This is why the Jigabyte company created an entry-level touch screen coffee table.
Ideum com Corrales, a New Mexico company, has been marketing interactive coffee tables for some time. Its Duet and Pico models offer UHD resolution, 8th generation Intel Core processors, dedicated graphics; as well as a lot of RAM and a lot of storage. The dimensions of the screens are 43, 49 and 55 inches.
Presentation of the Jigabyte coffee table
The arrival of Jigabyte on the market for interactive coffee tables may be a game-changer. On top of the blackened wooden frame is a 32 inch 1080p capacitive touch screen. It which can display background images which change automatically every few minutes; until a key activates the table mode.
Two browser windows can be opened at the same time and can be rotated 360 degrees so that information, animations, games and videos can be shared with the people seated around the table. Gestures like pinching and zooming are supported; and sound is output from the built-in speakers.
Table mode is an internal application that works like an operating system and runs under Windows 7. The user can switch to pure Windows 7 mode so that the coffee table can be used as a computer using '' an on-screen virtual keyboard; a physical keyboard and mouse are also available.
Specification of the Jigabyte coffee table
According to the brand, the smart health connected interactive coffee table should be able to migrate to Windows 10 without any worries. Oddly, although the main function of the 900 x 550 x 400 mm coffee table is online entertainment, there is no mention of wireless or wired LAN capabilities.

The Jigabyte system is equipped with 4th generation Intel chips. The base model comes with the Core i3 brain, which, according to Clive Wrightson, should be "more than enough to provide a smooth graphical experience in browser / table mode." The system's RAM memory adds up to 4 GB and has 250 GB of hard drive storage, with optional SSD available.
For the moment the Jigabyte coffee table is available at a price of $ 2,500.
