Jouve unveils its dematerialization solution for the hospital

Know your patient is based on automatic processing of patient identification information through optical character recognition (OCR).
This solution is currently being tested at the CH in Valenciennes and by the Groupement des Hospitals of the Catholic Institute of Lille (GHICL).
Its objective is to move towards "paperless" by "avoiding the passages at the admission counters", in order to "allow the agents to devote themselves to other administrative tasks, to improve the recovery of the rest to be charged and to increase Identovigilance, "said David Gruson.
A demonstration of the tool was carried out on December 10 at a conference.
Once their appointment is made at the hospital, the patient must manage their pre-admission. He receives an SMS or an email with a code, inviting him to go to the establishment's portal and enter the code there.
The patient is then invited to enter their email address and telephone number and to send a photo or photocopy of an identity document and proof of address.
The system automatically transcribes the information contained in these documents: surname, first name, date of birth, address … and sends it to the admissions staff of the establishment, he explained.
The same step takes place with the Vitale card and the mutual insurance card. Finally, a "complementary option" is proposed: the opening of the shared medical file (DMP) in one click.
No installation is necessary, the system operating in software as a service or "software as a service" (SaaS) mode. Know your patient has been developed as a white label and can, if necessary, be combined with the appointment booking system already used by the hospital, said David Gruson.
Jouve "masters the transcription of information" from Vitale cards and identity documents because the company "is already opening Vitale cards for GIE Sesam-Vitale" and has extensive experience in OCR solutions developed for banking sector, he argued.
Asked about the difference between Know your patient and pre-admission services already existing, David Gruson pointed out that Jouve's solution can be offered in its entirety or "integrated into an existing system only for its ROC part".
Technology adapted to emergencies
The technology has also been adapted to emergencies, he told TICsanté. "Priority is medical and not administrative, but identitovigilance is necessary to prevent medical risks," he insisted.
The emergency reception staff, whether administrative or paramedical, photograph the patient's documents together (Vitale card, identity document, etc.). From this image, Jouve's solution "injects them directly into the hospital's information system".
This system "allows for traceability and conservation of patient data" as well as "real-time management", argued the director of Jouve's health program.
The next steps are "the finalization expected at the end of January", then a marketing "mid-February at the beginning of March". The data processed by Jouve is stored in these hosting centers located in Mayenne and Laval, in Mayenne.
Jouve holds accreditation hosting data health (HDS) and is currently preparing the necessary audits to obtain HDS certification, said David Gruson.
The law of January 26, 2016 of "modernization of our health system" replaced the procedure for the approval of health data hosts by a certification issued by a certifying body accredited by the French Accreditation Committee (Cofrac), recalls- your.
