To allow you to always know where your bike is, the See Sense AIR GPS tracker uses the latest technologies including the NB-IoT.
Made up of cycling enthusiasts, the start-up See Sense is known for its innovative bicycle lighting. With its new product, it is no longer the cyclist that the company wants to be spotted, but its bicycle. Like any device of this type, it promises to help you know at all times where your two-wheeled vehicle is located. It is therefore an interesting companion for an anti-theft device like the ABUS 770A SmartX.
See Sense AIR, the long-lasting bike tracker
According to See Sense, his AIR would be the safest way to locate his bike by GPS. In fact, the most interesting feature of the device is its autonomy. To do this, he uses the standard NB-IoT or NarrowBand Internet of Things.
The latter allows large data transfers over long distances while consuming a small amount of energy. We can therefore hope up to 3 months of use on a single charge. It’s much more than similar size models. However, it should be noted that France will not have its first NB-IoT network until 2020.
A smart device
Thanks to its sensors, the See Sense AIR knows as soon as someone tries to grab your bike. It then sends alerts to your smartphone. With his "Fight" mode (combat), it can also issue an alarm to warn people around during an attempted theft. Of course, you can adjust the volume and the duration of the alarm.
If the thug still succeeds, a "Flight" mode (vol) activates automatically. This sends strong signals to facilitate the location of the bicycle with an accuracy of a few meters. In the worst case, you will only have to transfer this GPS data to the police.

But See Sense AIR is not only used to deter thieves. Indeed, it can send alert messages to your loved ones as soon as it detects a accident.
For the moment, the device is only available on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter. Contributions start at £ 89 + £ 4 for delivery (around 115 € + 5 €). Production will start in May 2020 and first deliveries are scheduled for the following month in June.
