Komuso Shift arrived only a few days after I put my order. The jewelry was carefully packaged in a plain gray box that appeared to be sturdy. Within, there was a dust bag and an instruction manual. I was really looking forward to seeing The Shift in person, but pictures online didn’t do it justice.

The Shift is available in four different colors or metals from Komuso: 14k gold, rose gold, sterling silver, and slate. I debated between the 14k gold and rose gold necklaces, but in the end, I went with the 14k gold shift with the same chain color, which, by the way, looks fantastic .

This necklace will go with any dress, no matter what the occasion.

The Komuso logo and the word itself are etched on the move, which is really slick. On the other hand, Japanese characters that say “silence” are etched.

The change is also made in the United States.

First and foremost, let me explain how it works. It’s simple: inhale through your nose and exhale into the shift’s tube for ten seconds at least five times, one after the other. You may send a message to your body that it’s time to relax and de-stress by stimulating the vagus nerve, which leads to long-term gains in mood, wellbeing, and resilience.

However, there is one issue.

  • From the body to the brain, there is a four-lane motorway.

  • And only a two-lane freeway connects the brain to the body.

This means that initial stressor signals received to the brain can cause a stress response even when there is no reason to be concerned. Then there’s a traffic jam when the all-clear signal tries to get back to the body.

Slowing our exhalation, on the other hand, stimulates the vagus nerve, which activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which reduces anxiety and relaxes the mind.
