Launch of the Digital Pharma Lab to accelerate the development of PharmaTech in Europe

Created in June 2019, the Digital Pharma Lab was officially launched on December 9th. Backed by the Bpifrance investment bank, this accelerator aims to enable participating pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies and medical device manufacturers to accelerate and even integrate into their models the innovations provided by the selected Pharmatech start-ups. . This incubator is not limited to France and considers these projects at European level.

Seven industrial partners

Biogen, Ipsen, Servier, Otsuka, SanofiTakeda and Chugai join the program as industrial partners for the first season and will each collaborate with one or more selected start-ups: Apodis Pharma, Diam Park, Epigene Labs, Inato, Invenis, Lucine, My Brain, My Science Work and Yuni. This first session will end on April 15, 2020, on a day of demonstration of the results and perspectives of the completed projects. A new season will start in March 2020 "for which new industrial partners have already announced their participation".

New European investment program

Projects around e-health are multiplying. In early December 2019, the Ile-com-France region announced the headquarters of the Venture Center of Excellence, a European investment program worth two billion euros. It will support the development of innovative companies in the health and life sciences sector. The aim is to bring together investors in order to ensure the accelerated development of European healthcare companies and to facilitate their access to the market. An announcement that "corroborates our vision and confirms our will"said Pascal Bécache, co-founder of the Digital Pharma Lab.
