Launch of the first World Telemedicine Grand Prix Ehealth innovation

The French-speaking Academy of Telemedicine and e-Health is organizing the first World Grand Prize in Telemedicine. Discovery of the winner during an event on December 5 at the National Academy of Medicine.
This Grand Prix marks a key stage, that of the deployment of Telemedicine and of the growing importance it occupies in public debate after its entry into ordinary law, its integration into medical and pharmaceutical conventions and the reimbursement of teleconsultation. and tele-expertise by Health Insurance.
Organized by the French-speaking Academy of Telemedicine and e-Health chaired by Ghislaine Alajouanine, the Grand Prix will bring together for the first time Pioneers of Telemedicine, Members of the National Academy of Medicine, corporate sponsors and start-ups and associations deploying original initiatives in terms of prevention, health and care pathways and access to care for all.
" This is a historic moment for Telemedicine. On the eve of the bicentenary of the National Academy of Medicine, its involvement in this first Grand Prix is very symbolic. While France suffers from its medical deserts, and everyone legitimately claims, wherever it is, an answer to this frightening question, 'what do I have doctor?' Telemedicine takes all its value, certainly it is not a panacea! but today, this additional diagnostic aid, to make data travel rather than patients, goes in the direction of history. The Grand Prize will be selected and awarded by a mixed jury composed of the Full Members of the National Academy of Medicine, “Institution in its time” and of the Founding Members of the French-speaking Academy of Telemedicine and e-Health created in 2018 to bring its expertise to official bodies on this new discipline.
It will be endowed with 50,000 euros in cash and technological sponsorship equivalent.
The nominees selected and supported by corporate sponsors and the French-speaking Academy of Telemedicine and e-Health will be presented by category:
Autonomy and Solidarity category, supported by AG2R LA MONDIALE.
African Continent category, supported by the UNFM (World Digital Francophone University).
Medical Deserts Category, supported by the Ile-com-France Regional Council.
Euro-Mediterranean category, supported by Lunalogic and SFTAG.
Habitat category, supported by Logévie Groupe Action logement.
Artificial Intelligence category, supported by Microsoft.
Category Aging well, supported by the CNAV (Caisse Nationale d'Assurance Vieillesse).
Visual health category, supported by Hoya Vision.
The Prize for Excellence in Telemedicine and the American Continent sponsored by Professor Jean Paul Fortin of Canada, Founding Member of the Academy, will recognize a collective that has developed a model of governance and learning actions bringing together a set of strategies and actions to develop, implement and develop telehealth.
Participants will also have the great chance to discover a live demonstration of space tele ultrasound presented by Professor Philippe Arbeille, Founding Member of the Academy and whose solution was selected by the American Space Agency (NASA) to provide medical follow-up astronauts from the International Space Station (ISS) for the next five years and experienced in 2017 by French astronaut Thomas Pesquet during his stay at the station.
