LEEM and France Biotech join forces to promote health innovation

Leem, the federation of Medicines Companies and France Biotech, the association of entrepreneurs in health innovation, announce joint lines of work to promote innovation in France.

This last decade has seen the arrival of a new R & D model with the entry into the field of SMEs / VSEs of health innovation which are the initiators of multiple therapeutic innovations serving the patient or healthcare professionals. Naturally, Leem wanted to get closer to the French biotechnology sector by welcoming the President of France Biotech to its Board of Directors as a qualified personality.

In this perspective, Leem and France Biotech have set the following themes to promote the development of the HealthTech ecosystem:

• Support medical research and innovation,

• Accelerate the access of innovations to patients,

• Develop partnerships between pharmaceutical companies and HealthTech,

• Develop skills and expertise in the field of health innovation.

The aim of this union is to boost the development of the research and innovation ecosystem in France, to strengthen the attractiveness of the sector and to help promote conditions for rapid access by patients to innovations.

Thus, our desire to work collectively will help accelerate the professionalization of our ecosystem to bring out new world leaders and strengthen the attractiveness of France in health innovation, from research to patients.
