Lenovo is well in his sneakers

During Lenovo's Tech World in San Francisco, the company presented a smart basketball: fitness monitoring on the program, but also gaming…
A high-tech conference is bound to be synonymous with original wearable prototypes. Lenovo took advantage of its “Tech World” event in California to unveil a smart running shoe, created in collaboration with Vibram, the company that produces soles. The shoe works thanks to an Intel Curie chip and fulfills most of the functionalities of known fitness monitoring, without offering a heart monitoring however.

With its smart shoe, Lenovo will follow you
The partnership has been around for over a year now, but the gadget is now a finished prototype. While currently only a "proof of concept," the Lenovo shoe doesn't really look like what a buyer hopes to find in a store.
But it's still a big step in the right direction, that of the wearables that offer the benefits of a fitness tracker while maintaining the modest aesthetic of an ordinary pair of sneakers.
The shoe counts your steps and tracks your calories burned and contains a 3D printed and customizable insole. There is also a wireless function to charge it if you place the shoe on a charging panel at its waist.
A unique function that you cannot easily reproduce with a fitness bracelet is its use for playing… ehealth games.
Lenovo created the shoe so that it can interact with a running mobile game, so you can use your feet like a motion controller : forward, backward and so on. A good way to exercise while playing?
We can therefore easily imagine this process extending to games like Dance Dance Revolution or other arcade games. If this feature is a gadget, the Lenovo shoe is still on the right track, and will allow you to change your traditional sneakers.
