LG Hanok ThinQ: the autonomous house fully smart health connected and independent from the EDF network

Located in Spain, this house integrates all LG technologies. The goal is to be smart health connected and autonomous.

LG has just unveiled a concept called Hanok ThinQ: it’s a house designed to drastically reduce energy consumption. This house obviously highlights the latest LG energy solutions, but it is also an interesting demonstration of a more sustainable construction model.

Equipped with solar panels, batteries, smart health connected device solutions, the LG Hanok ThinQ house is located in Las Rozas, in Madrid, Spain. LG wanted to create a sustainable house, also known as a passive house designed to save energy.

So we have 24 LG NeON R solar panels and 12 LG NeON 2 bifacial plates, in addition to the batteries that are used to store the excess energy produced for use (for example) at night. This model brings to mind the energy solutions of Tesla and its Powerwall product.

LG’s model health home also has its own charger for electric cars and a aerothermal system, Therma V, which is used to heat and supply hot water four times more efficiently than a conventional boiler.

In the garden of the house, there are 50 species of plants. The goal is to plant 1,000 plants to absorb all of the CO2 produced.

This house is inspired by the label Passivhaus created in Germany. This label favors thermal insulation, double glazing of windows, the absence of thermal bridges, airtightness, mechanical ventilation … to save up to 90% of energy.

Failing to stop selling smartphones in France, LG wishes to position itself as a leading player in the ecological transformation of our homes.
