Linky: justice orders the withdrawal of 13 meters for medical reasons

Linky is once again in the sights of justice. The High Court of Tours ordered the removal of the smart health connected meter from 13 individuals for medical reasons. However, the ANFR has just published a study according to which Linky does not represent any health hazard.

The Tours High Court (TGI) ordered the removal of the Linky smart health connected meter from the homes of 13 individuals for medical reasons, reports 20 Minutes. A new judicial victory to be credited to detractors of the device after a judge authorizes electro-sensitive people to refuse the installation of Linky and another ordered the installation of a microwave filter at these same electro-sensitive.

Linky is however not dangerous for health according to the ANFR

The court pronounced "Delivery of electricity free from carrier current online" for these 13 households. In one case, we find a 7 year old child with a "State of chronic fatigue" and "Sleep difficulties". The TGI considered that there may be a link with Linky. Note that even if it gets better after removing the unloved meter, the psychological effect will not be overlooked, however, and this will not prove that Linky is harmful.

Moreover, a recent report from the National Frequency Agency (ANFR) ensures that Linky is not dangerous for health. After a series of tests and measurements, the institution explains that the waves released by the smart health connected meter are well below the legal limits and that they can have no effect on the human body. In addition, Linky does not broadcast continuously, but approximately 1% of the time. By way of comparison, the ANFR has calculated that a WiFi internet box transmits on average 15 times more than Linky. In short, criticisms can be made of the meter (privacy, rising bills), but there is technically no evidence that it causes adverse health effects.
