Livall Unveils New Smart Bike Helmets
Livall is back with new smart bike helmets. A highly anticipated return, to say the least, given the success of the Bling smart helmet series.
Just like Bling, the new Livall helmets offer several smart features, but this time in a lighter and more subtle way. The helmets are much more functional than those of the previous range.
The brand has not released one, or two, but three different models: the BH81H, the MT1 and the KS2; the last one being a helmet for children. The first two are fairly similar, but only the BH81H has a heart rate monitoring. The design of the BH81H is a bit more rounded than the MT1. It’s the top model.
Both headsets have smart warning lights built into the back of the helmet. A 3D gravity sensor also detects if you have fallen off a bike and in this case triggers the sending of an SOS message to a selected contact on your smartphone. A good idea for all cyclists who ride alone on the road. As for communication, the helmets are equipped with a built-in walkie-talkie which allows you to speak to other cyclists also equipped with the brand's headphones. The microphone also allows you to answer the phone and has a feature that cuts the noise of the wind.

A remote control lets you control all of these features, including controlling your music. The Bluetooth speakers integrated in the headphones offer a rather interesting listening quality.
As I said before, only the BH81H comes with the heart rate monitoring which will trigger an audible alarm if it detects that you have exceeded a critical heart threshold. The helmets are currently available on Indiegogo and will be dispatched from November.
